Vid Title: U.S.
Vidder: innerbrat
Fandom: Captain Americ
Summary: It’s supersoldiers all the way down.
Reccer's Comments: I love this vid because it takes the existing canon, looks at the subtext, and makes it text. The super soldier program is such an awful idea and the only time it isn't a crime against nature, peace, and common sense is when it's viewed through Steve Rogers. Everyone wants the power and they want Steve until they realize it won't be coming through him. This vid doesn't shy away from how good Steve is, but it focuses our attention on the other aspects of creating "super men", the ambiguity, the horror, and the dream of being powerful/invulnerable and how contagious, glorious, and destructive that dream is.
